Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center receives information on scholarships from outside agencies that are available to anyone in a health-related field of study. Please contact Human Resources for more information and any other programs currently available.

MCRMC receives information on scholarships from outside agencies that are available to anyone in a health related field of study. Contact Human Resources for current programs available.

Health Careers Foundation
The health careers foundation is a scholarship/loan program that is open to anyone in a health related field of study, such as nursing, physical therapy, pharmacy and health information management. This program is funded through HCF, so there is no employment obligation to MCRMC. Applications can be picked up from Human Resources between January and April.

Kansas Nursing Program
This scholarship is available to anyone who has been accepted into a Kansas School of Nursing Program seeking either an Associates or Bachelors degree. Someone wanting to become a Registered Nurse is eligible for $3500. Licensed Practical Nurses are eligible for $2500. An applicant for this scholarship must have signed a sponsorship agreement with a Kansas medical facility. The sponsoring facility agrees to pay a portion of the scholarship and the applicant agrees to work at the facility upon licensure.

MCRMC also offers scholarships in certain areas based on demand. Scholarships may be offered in the following areas.

Occupational Therapy
Students must be accepted into an Occupational Therapy program in order to apply for this scholarship. Recipients receive $1000 per semester and in return agree to work at MCRMC six months for each semester assistance was received.

Pharmacy
Students must be accepted into a pharmacy program in order to apply for this scholarship. Recipients receive $1500 per semester and in exchange agree to work at MCRMC six months for each semester in which assistance was received.

Physical Therapy
Students must be accepted into a Physical Therapy program in order to apply for this scholarship. Recipients receive $1000 per semester and in return agree to work at MCRMC six months for each semester assistance was received.

Radiology
Students must be accepted into a radiologic program in order to apply for this scholarship. Recipients receive $500 for the summer semester and $1500 for the fall and spring semesters, provided that a 2.0 GPA is maintained.

Respiratory Therapy
Students must be accepted into a respiratory therapy program in order to apply for this scholarship. Recipients receive $500 for the summer semester and $1500 for the fall and spring semesters, provided that a 2.0 GPA is maintained. In turn, recipients agree to work at MCRMC for six months for each semester assisstance was received.
