Brandon Riesenmy, MD attended undergraduate school at the University of Missouri at Kansas City and obtained his medical degree from the University of Kansas in 1987. He completed his residency in Psychiatry at the University of Kansas Medical School and served as faculty there until 1999. He is board certified in Psychiatry. Dr. Riesenmy is currently providing mental health care services in southeast Kansas, southwest Missouri, and also provides psychiatric services at Crossroads Counseling Center.


Vera Vitt ARNP, MSN, RN, CNS, attended P.S.U for her BSN at Pittsburg, Kansas. She received her Masters Degree at Wichita State University at Wichita in 2000. As a clinical specialist and an advanced registered nurse practitioner she provides mental health care services and diagnostic interview, individual psychotherapy and pharmacologic management including prescription use and continuous care.

Jeffrey Burch, Psy.D. completed his doctorate at the University of Indianapolis in 2005, in the field of Clinical Psychology. During his clinical training, he worked at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, where he received experience working on an acute inpatient psychiatric unit, drug and alcohol rehabilitation unit, outpatient alcohol and drug treatment program, and community mental health rotation. Prior to coming to Crossroads, Dr. Burch was working at a community mental health center in Kansas. His interests include working with substance abuse issues, psychotic disorders, panic disorders, depressive disorder, and conducting projective testing. At Crossroads, Dr. Burch provides outpatient therapy and psychological assessment.

Kelli P. Gariglietti Farha, Ph.D. completed her doctoral work at the University of Kansas in 2000 and has been a Licensed Psychologist since 2001. During her training she completed rotations in neuropsychology and health psychology. She also received training in childhood health and developmental issues. Areas of interest include: cognitive-behavioral treatment approaches for depression, anxiety, and post traumatic stress disorders, psychological approaches to pain management as well as helping individuals adjust to new medical illnesses or cope with chronic conditions. At Crossroads Counseling Center she provides outpatient individual psychotherapy for children, adolescents and adults, and completes psychological evaluations and consultation services.

Stephen Hoyer, PhD provides outpatient therapy services and evaluations for adults and adolescents. Dr. Hoyer provided services at Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center in February working with in-patients prior to moving to Crossroads Counseling Center. He earned a doctorate in Applied Behavioral Studies at Oklahoma State University in 1987. He completed his bachelor and master’s degrees at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Dr. Hoyer is also a professor in the Psychology and Counseling Department at Pittsburg State University where he has taught for 16 years. In 1999, he retrained in clinical psychology at the University of Tulsa where he received a respecialization certificate in clinical psychology. Dr. Hoyer’s clinical experience and interests include working with abuse victims, and criminal resocialization.

Steven Mayhew, PhD, ABPP completed his doctorate from the University of Missouri-Columbia and has been licensed as a psychologist since 1986. He is board-certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) and is licensed as a psychologist in Kansas and Iowa. He is certified at the national level as a Health Service Provider in Psychology. Dr. Mayhew has worked in family practice, community mental health, and multi-specialty medical clinics. Dr. Mayhew’s clinical interests include psychopharmacology, depression, and evaluation and treatment of attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Rebecca Honeycutt, MS, LCP completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees in clinical psychology at Pittsburg State University in 1998. She has been the Clinical Psychologist on the Behavioral Health Unit at Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center since August 1998 prior to moving to Crossroads Counseling Center. On the inpatient unit Rebecca provided individual, family and group therapy to adolescent, adult and geriatric clients. She coordinated patient care through treatment planning, psychological testing and evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders. Rebecca received clinical training in outpatient psychotherapy at Crawford County Mental Health Center and Four County Mental Health Center. At Crossroads she provides outpatient psychotherapy and psychological assessment.

Chris Ratzlaff, MS, LMLP completed both his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Clinical Psychology at Pittsburg State University, and has been practicing as a psychologist since June 2003. His experience includes practice in both the public and private sectors of human services, and recently joined the Crossroads staff after three years at the Crawford Co. Mental Health Center in which he provided such services as psychological evaluations and developmental screenings, parent-child interaction and play therapies at the Discovery Center, as well as individual/family psychotherapy to both children and adult consumers.

Jamie Ryder, PhD attended the University of Kansas and received her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology in 2005. She completed clinical training at the counseling centers of the University of Kansas, Michigan State University and the University of Wisconsin - Madison. In addition, she also gained clinical experience at the Kansas City Veterans Administration Medical Center and the Colmery – O’Neil Veterans Administration Medical Center in Topeka. Her clinical interests include eating disorders, relationship issues, grief / loss, and depression. She also has experience in personality, neuropsychological, and ADD / ADHD assessment. At Crossroads she provides outpatient psychotherapy and assessment and is a licensed psychologist in the state of Kansas.

Sarah Kliewer, MS has been with Crossroads for 5 years. She received a Masters degree in Counseling from Pittsburg State University in 2000. She is the primary contact for all new patients and uses her clinical and financial knowledge to find the best service for our patients making the referral process easy. Kilewer did her field work at Addictions Treatment Center in Girard and previously held positions with the PSU testing center, as a para professional tutor for children with reading disabilities.

Calvin Jones recently joined the staff at Crossroads as Intake Coordinator. Calvin has been an employee of Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center for 20 years and has worked in substance abuse, skilled nursing, partial hospital and behavioral health. Calvin is a graduate of Pittsburg State University.

Michelle Fields has been part of Crossroads’ secretarial staff for 7 years. Her duties include greeting patients upon arrival, scheduling, answering the phone, etc. She grew up in Oklahoma and relocated to the Pittsburg area 9 years ago. She has been married for 11 years and has one daughter.

Rebecca Daniels has worked at Crossroads for over 2 years as a secretary. she enjoys offering pts customer service and working as a team member with her fellow co- workers. Rebecca is a local resident and brings with her over 20 years of customer service skills to offer Crossroads. Rebecca has been married 26 years and has 2 grown children.
